This VL Build Is Next-Level – A True Masterpiece of Performance and Precision

It’s been an incredible journey collaborating with the elite team at @6boost to bring this dream VL Commodore to life. From the very first concept sketches to the final bolt tightened, this build has been a full-throttle experience — and seeing it fully completed in person is nothing short of surreal.

From day one, the focus with @6boost was on building a world-class chassis that could handle serious horsepower while maintaining absolute structural integrity and race-ready performance. The chassis design was approached with the same mentality you’d expect in professional motorsport — every weld, bracket, and mount had a purpose, and every material was chosen with weight savings, strength, and longevity in mind.

We started with a bare rolling shell, which was then braced, laser-leveled, and prepped to receive a fully custom-fabricated chromoly tubular chassis. This wasn’t just a touch-up or reinforcement — the entire backbone of the VL was engineered from scratch. Every piece was hand-built and TIG-welded, integrating seamlessly with titanium floor structures, firewall, and suspension pickup points.

The rear was tubbed to accommodate massive drag rubber without compromising geometry or ride height. Billet engine plate and adapter plate and midplate were custom-designed to keep the center of gravity low and the power delivery stable under extreme acceleration.

Throughout the process, the mastermind, Kyle Hopf @6boost meticulously designed this build, using his extensive drag racing experience. This gave us the level of refined detail from suspension angles to load distribution. It wasn’t just about making the car fast, it was also about making it look good —  making it function at the absolute highest level, with finishes to make it represent the ultimate OEM appeal. 

Working side-by-side with such a dedicated and talented team made this build more than just a project — it became a shared vision and a true passion piece. And now that it’s complete, standing beside it and taking in the final result is a moment I’ll never forget.

Absolutely blown away by the finished result of this VL Commodore build — it's nothing short of automotive perfection. Packed with high-performance upgrades and elite fabrication work, this car is a showcase of innovation and craftsmanship.

Featuring a full titanium firewall, drivers floor, control arms, and steering components, paired with a carbon fiber front clip, boot, bumper, floor, and race seat, this build is lightweight, strong, and engineered for peak performance. Topping it off are carbon-ceramic brakes, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in modern automotive engineering.

Massive respect and congratulations to the powerhouse teams who brought this vision to reality. The precision, attention to detail, and quality from everyone involved is unmatched.
